Putin insists that Russia “ will not back down “goals of war despite the wishes of Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin once again refused to put an end to his war in Ukraine until Russia achieved its “objectives” despite another direct call between the chief of the Kremlin and President Donald Trump.
“Vladimir Putin, for his part, noted that we continue to seek a political and negotiated solution to the conflict,” said Russian diplomat Yuri Ushakov in a reading after the call.
“Our president also declared that Russia will achieve the objectives it has set: it is the elimination of well-known deep causes that have led to the current state, to the current acute confrontation, and Russia would not back down from these objectives,” he added.

In an attempt to justify his invasion, Putin said on several occasions that Ukraine has constituted a threat as it seemed to become a member of NATO and clearly indicated that he wanted to overthrow President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and overthrow the government in kyiv.
The White House did not immediately answer questions from Fox News Digital on how Trump reacted to the clear recognition of Putin that he intends to continue his war effort.
The appeal occurs two days after the United States said it interrupted previously promised military weapons planned for Ukraine and which were already in Poland, on American stock concerns.

While discussing Fox News Digital this week, experts warned this decision could embrace Putin and his ambitions of war.
Reading the appeal published by the Kremlin has not detailed whether this decision by the Trump administration was discussed.

The couple would also have discussed the conflict in the Middle East, in particular with regard to Iran and the recent American and Israeli strikes against the Tehran nuclear program.
“The Russian party stressed the importance of resolving all disputes, disagreements and conflict situations exclusively by political and diplomatic means,” added reading.
