Pritzker calls the deployment of Trump Texas troops an `invasion ”

Illinois governor JB Pritzker announced on Sunday that President Donald Trump would deploy 400 members of the Texas National Guard to Illinois, Oregon and other places.

The deployment came while demonstrations against federal police increases across the country, in particular in Portland and Chicago.

In the Windy City, several people have been arrested in recent days for having declared their vehicles in the cars of the agents of the DHS and the ice.

After announcing the deployment of Trump on X Sunday late Sunday, Pritzker wrote that “no official of the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate”.

“We must now start to call this what is: Trump’s invasion,” wrote the Democratic Governor.

“It started with federal agents, he will soon understand the deployment of federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and this will now imply sending military troops from another state.”

Pritzker also revealed that he had called the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, “immediately withdraw any support for this decision and refuse to coordinate”.

“There is no reason for a president to send military troops to a sovereign state without the knowledge, their consent or their cooperation,” added the governor.

“The courageous men and women who serve in our national guards should not be used as political accessories. This is a time when each American must speak and help stop this madness.”

In BroadView, Illinois, Friday, more than a dozen people were arrested by federal agents During the demonstrations in an ice treatment installation. Agents were seen draw balls of pepper, tear gas and rubber bullets to clear crowds.
