EXCLUSIVE: Planned Parenthood is expected to close its last two Louisiana installations next month, according to the defenders of the pro-moving people represent the “success” in the middle of the efforts to close the organization.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, the CEO and founder of 40 Days For Life, Shawn Carney, said that the closure of the clinics is a “huge victory” for the entire pro-life movement and its organization, which has prayed and kept vigilles outside the planned parenting installations for about 20 years.
“The only Planned parenting remaining in the state of Louisiana, Baton Rouge and New Orleans, ends because they cannot make abortions there,” said Carney. “Planned Parenthood survives financially on the abortions, and they survive financially on the American taxpayer. It is a huge success for the pro-life movement.”
Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast – which manages six clinics in Houston, Texas, in the region and two in Louisiana – announced that it would close its clinics in red and New Orleans on September 30.

Planned Parenthood previously announced the closure of the prevention park and the southwest centers of the Houston region, including the The largest abortion center in the Western hemisphere. The other Houston installations will be acquired by the largest affiliate in Texas in the organization.
The president of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melaney Linton, said in a statement that the closings in Louisiana are “the direct result of incessant political assaults”.
“This is not a decision we wanted to make; it is the one in which we were forced by political war,” she wrote. “Anti-reproductive health legislators obsessed with power and control have spent decades to fight against the concept that people deserve to control their own body.”
Linton said that “extremist” republican legislators have done everything in their power to finance Planned Parenthood, adding: “Each closure of the health center, each patient who passes without care, each unteashed cancer and untreated infection is in the hands of the legislators.”
The installations of the States led by the GOP with abortion restrictions, notably Louisiana and Texas, were also forced to stop the procedures following the decision of the Supreme Court of 2022 which canceled Roe V. Wade and made the power to bring the laws concerning abortion to the United States.
In recent years, GOP officials have made repeated attempts to close Planned Parenthood, even after almost all abortions have been prohibited under the law of the State in Louisiana and Texas, as well as other states controlled by the Republican.

The Republican Governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, wrote on X that the closings of Planned Parenthood in his state mark a “major victory for the pro-life movement” in his state, adding that he fought to “rid our state of this failed organization” and that abortion “should never be considered as health care”.
The attorney general of the State, Liz Murrill, also a republican, wrote that the closures of the Planned Parenthood clinic are “new welcome”.
“Planned Parenthood has built its activities around the promotion of death. Louisiana chooses life. We will always protect women and babies,” she wrote.
Although Planned Parenthood is not authorized to provide abortion procedures in Louisiana, she helped women access abortions outside the state.
The former director of planned parenting celebrates the closure of Houston’s installations: “not shocking”
Planned Parenthood’s installations have closed in various states across the country, including California and New York, where the organization sells its only Manhattan Health Center building for $ 39 million.
“It will be the 40th Planned Parenthood to close in 2025,” said Carney. I suspect that before September 30, which is the end of their exercise, that we will see about 25 to 30 other parents of planning, perhaps more. “”

THE Trump administration has sought to impose financing discounts on Planned Parenthood which could lead to the closure of additional installations. A provision in an expenditure invoice supported by the GOP would end Medicaid payments for one year to the abortion suppliers who received more than $ 800,000 of the program in 2023, although this provision is confronted with legal disputes and has been blocked, at least for the moment, by a federal judge.
“Planned Parenthood is in the worst form of their whole history, and they were before the fall of Roe V. Wade and before their funding,” said Carney.
Carney predicted that the subsidiaries of Planned Parenthood across the country will continue to merge, just like Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast should do so. Former Director of the Planned Parenthood clinic who has become a pro-life activist Abby Johnson, recently made a similar prediction in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“Suffering, such as Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, will end up merging with some of these other companies affiliated to which they simply competed for abortion figures,” said Carney. “I think you will see these closures which have led them not to rebuild, but simply starting into certain parts of the country and by merging with other affiliates in the rest of America.”

“If they are a non-profit organization, they can go out and do what all non-profit organizations do, what we do and the churches, and it is out and collect funds,” he continued. “And if people want to support your mission, they will. You should not be dependent on federal government, And that just pointed out how dependent they were. “”
Carney also noted that Planned Parenthood had lost 78,000 individual donors last year, stressing that the organization is not only likely to lose public funding.
Addressing the statement of Planned Parenthood that the abortions represent only 3% of its services, Carney said that it was “complete garbage” and underlined the closing the installations in states controlled by the Republican with abortion prohibitions.
“It’s as if McDonald’s said that only 3% of their business sells fries,” he said. “If it was true, they would not close all these installations in pro-life states where you cannot make abortions. So, it is no longer credible in 2025.”
