The assassination of the founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, sparked strongly divided reactions, certain churches in the United States addressing the tragedy – and the viral video of his shooting – in their sermons last Sunday.
Ryan Visconti, principal pastor at Generation Church de Mesa, Arizona, told Fox News Digital in an interview that many people were “in mourning in a unusual manner”, but noted that people probably had more familiarity with Kirk than they realized because of his great range.
“As a Christian, Charlie was a brother in Christ, and therefore I think there is a spiritually bond that another brother in Christ, a Christian, was murdered brutally and graphically,” said Visconti. “And how much his death was graphic, it was traumatic. And therefore, really, all of us saw these terrible videos are witnesses of murder. And it really hurts a deep level, and that cicillas your soul.”

“What I encourage people to do is that you have to know the hope and comfort that comes from Jesus. This is where Charlie found hope, and it was from there that he obtained his strength.
The pastor said that he knew Kirk personally and that he had previously organized a rally for the presidential candidate of the time, JD Vance in his church.

Visconti spoke that the murder had an intense impact on generation Z, because a large part of Kirk’s efforts spoke on campuses, including when he was killed.
“I believe that above all the young generation who listened to Charlie and who at least appreciated his ability to engage in the conversation, these people see that he was ready to die for his beliefs, and I think it stings the interest of people, and that makes them want to know what convinced that it was true? What made him so passionate?” He said.
“And I think people will look at what Charlie believed in a new day and probably explore this by themselves, and therefore I think he will continue to have a lasting impact for many years to come, especially with the young generation.”
