“For decades, the Union’s bosses have poisoned our schools with politics and propaganda while abandoning parents, students and good teachers. This ends today. We will exhibit them, fight them and take back our classrooms,” said Walters, according to the press release.
“To the Teacher Freedom Alliance, we give educators freedom, freedom of the liberal and awakened agenda which corrupted public education. We will wear teachers with the tools, the support and the freedom they need, without forcing them to abandon their values. It is a battle for the future of our children, and we will not lose.”
The president of the teachers of the American teachers’ federation, Randi Weingarten, praised that Walters cancels the state post.
The Oklahoma school chief devotes millions of people to put “a bible in each school”
“Today is a good day for Oklahoma children,” she said, according to The hill.
“It is not surprising that Mr. Walters, after having failed at work, leaves the state. Any educator who is worth his salt understands that it is impossible to educate students if you do not support teachers. Walters has not done this in Oklahoma and now, at a time when we have to bring the country together, he tries to export his rhetoric to the national scale.”
Fox News Digital contacted the American teachers’ federation to comment.
This week, Walters also announced a thrust so that the USA turning point chapters are established in all secondary schools in the state.

“We are going to put Tpusa on each Oklahoma high school campus. Charlie Kirk inspired a generation to love America, to speak boldly and never hesitate to debate. Our children must get involved and active,” noted Walters, according to a state press release. “We are going to retaliate against liberal propaganda, driven by the radical left and teachers’ unions. Our fight begins now.”
During an interview with Martha MacCallum of Fox News Channel, Walters said that the groups would be “in each school because we already have requests from each school – which makes things easier”.
