Ohio State Highway Patrol to help the Cincinnati Police Service

Buckeye’s state will provide support from the Ohio State Highway Patrol to help the Cincinnati Police Service, a press release from the Governor indicated on Wednesday.
“The governor of Ohio Mike Dewine, the mayor of Cincinnati Aftab Pureval and the Cincinnati police chief, Teresa Theetge, announced today that the State would provide an additional workforce to support the Cincinnati Police Service”, the Cincinnati Police Department “, the” press release States.

“After listening to the concerns of community members about recent cases of violence, local authorities asked for support from Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) to help the traffic application and provide aviation support,” the statement said.
“OSHP soldiers will focus on the application of traffic to free up local officers to respond and investigate other crimes. The OSHP aviation unit will focus on supporting initiatives to reduce violent local crimes, searches of criminal suspect and the attenuation of the prosecution of the vehicles,” he continues.
Dewine, a Republican, has been governor since early 2019.

“Ohio essentially has a set of security support services that the State can provide at times when local authorities could use additional aid,” he said the press release. “We did it in other cities, and it made a big difference.”
Dewine also offers other resources if the city needs it, the statement said.

“In addition to the support of aviation and the application of traffic laws, Governor Dewine also offered additional services to Cincinnati if they were necessary, including the additional support of the Ministry of Rehabilitation and the Correction of Ohio and Ohio Department of Youth Services to locate adults and young people who do not follow control of the intelligence of Ohio Narcotic Known for illegal sales, drug trafficking and prostitution, “said the press release.
