Former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama both shared birthday messages on Friday to celebrate 33 years of married happiness.
The two shared the same image of the couple together on X less than a minute from the other.
“The best decision I have ever made was to marry you, @Michelleobama,” wrote the former commander -in -chief. “For 33 years, I have admired your strength, your grace and your determination – and the fact that you look so well. Happy Anniversary!”

The former first couple shared several stages online over the years.
In 2023, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the pair, the former president, 64, published a tribute calling his wife “brilliant, kind, funny and beautiful”. Michelle Obama, 61, wrote: “I love spending life with you by my side.”

The couple met in 1989 when they worked together in a law firm based in Chicago. Michelle was assigned to her mentor to help her adapt as a summer trainee.
Michelle Obama explained what attracted her to her husband during an August episode of the podcast that she shares with her brother, Craig Robinson, Omi.
“The first kind of sparkling feeling that I felt was actually when I told him on the phone, and he had his voice of Barack Obama,” she said. “The voice was sexier than the image I had of him. So I was a bit like” Oh, I didn’t expect that. “”
