The Republicans of Swing State New Hampshire criticize this decision by a Democratic Congress candidate to publish a photo of her alongside a sign “86 47”, which some in the GOP consider a severe message suggesting violence against President Donald Trump.
Maura Sullivan, a former officer of the Marine Corps who deployed during the war in Iraq and then served the Pentagon and the administration of veterans under former president Barack Obama, attended a “No protest of kings ” Last weekend in his hometown of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Demonstrators of thousands of national rallies protested on Saturday what they call the president’s anti-democratic actions and authoritarian trends.
Sullivan, while he was at the rally, posted on social networks a photo of her standing next to a veteran colleague who held a sign that read “the veterans for democracy”.
But the sign also included the expression “Foxtrot Delta Tango”, as well as the message “86 47”.

“Foxtrot Delta Tango” is a military style sentence in the NATO phonetic alphabet which states the “FDT” letters, which is considered a derogatory term towards Trump.
While “86” is a long term used in restaurants to signify when they are out of food on a menu, or in bars or military circles to get rid of something – or someone.
And recently, some Republicans perceive it as a message for Trump to be eliminated.

The secret services continue to investigate the former director of the FBI, James Comey, after having published earlier this year on social networks, an image of shells organized to spell “86,47”.
Comey, after a conservative tumult, took his post and apologized.
Sullivan’s social media post, one of the two best democrats who arise to succeed the representative Chris Pappas in the 1st district of the Congress of New Hampshire, intervened a few hours after the horrible shooting of two main legislators of the Democratic State of Minnesota – one of them fatal.

The representative of the state Melissa Hortman, the former president of the Minnesota State Chamber, and her spouse were killed, and Senator John Hoffman and her spouse were seriously injured during the shots, which seem to be attacks with political motivation.
The Sullivan Congress campaign in a statement to Fox News, underlined the Minnesota shots.

“Maura is scandalized and at the heart of the assassination of an official in Minnesota. She thinks that there is absolutely no place for violence in our policy, regardless of the party or affiliation,” said Sullivan campaign director Nick London.
London added that on Saturday, “Maura joined thousands of granite staters and millions of Americans to protest peacefully to the use by Donald Trump of our servants as accessories for his political agenda. If the president cares about our veterans, he would be focused on improving health care at the VA, by widening mental health services and supporting our military families.”

New Hampshire Republicans quickly criticized Sullivan on his post.
“I knew that Maura was contracting with the extreme radical left, but it is a step too far. Calls for political violence like this have no place in New Hampshire,” said New Hampshire Gop, Jim Maceachern, in a statement.
And the vice-president of NHGOP, Hollie Novoletsky, who arrived second in the primary of the GOP 2024 congress in the 1st district, said in a statement: “that the objective of an assassination is President Trump or a representative of the Democratic State in MN, he is unacceptable.

The National Committee of the Republican Congress (NRCC), the arm of the Chamber’s GOP campaign, which tries to return the district for the first time in eight years, went further.
“Political violence has no place in our country – and pose with propaganda calling for the assassination of President Trump is dangerous and disqualifying,” said NRCC spokesperson Maureen O’Toole. “Maura Sullivan must apologize, eliminate the photo and withdraw from the race for the first district of the Congress of New Hampshire.”
