The accusations were abandoned by the office of the state investigator after the inconsistencies were found in the history of the alleged victim. However, Judkins can still face NFL’s discipline for violating its personal conduct policy.

NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said on Wednesday at the AP in an email, “the case remains in progress.”

While Judkins should sign his contract, the star of Ole Miss and Ohio State should not play in the first Browns match against the Bengals of Cincinnati on Sunday. Depending on the amount he trains next week, he could play in week 2.

Browns should obtain a temporary exemption from alignment for Judkins, by the NFL network. This decision allows the Judkins to train without requiring an immediate movement of alignment.
