New satellite images reveal American military damage to Iran nuclear installations

Images of fresh satellites have captured the damage caused by B-2 stealth bombers in the air strikes targeting the Iranian nuclear installations of Isfahan and Natanz.

The photos taken by Planet Labs PBC show that several buildings were affected on the two sites following operation Midnight Hammer.

“On the Isfahan nuclear site … Buildings have been affected, the United States confirming their use of cruise missiles,” said international director Energy Agency (AIEA), director general Rafael Grosi on Monday. “The affected buildings include some linked to the uranium conversion process. Also to this site, the inputs of the tunnels used for the storage of enriched materials seem to have been affected.

“On the Natanz enrichment site, the fuel enrichment plant was affected, the United States confirming that it has used ammunition penetrating on the ground,” he added.

The United States launched a surprise strike using B-2 stealth bombers on Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear installations on Saturday.

“The three sites have suffered extremely serious damage and destruction,” General de l’Air Force, Air Force General, said on a briefing at Pentagon on Sunday.

He added that the complete extent of damage to the battle to the installations would take time to assess.

Fordow, the Iran’s underground nuclear enrichment site, was represented in satellite images showing a view of the bird that the shot had erased certain structures on the site.

Fordow is built on the side of a mountain near the town of Qom, about 60 miles southwest of Tehran, while Natanz and Isfahan are above the ground.
