“This package will be published in early September. We know that the sanctions are effective. We have already put the immobilized assets of Russia to work in favor of Ukraine, and we will continue to put pressure on the war economy of Russia to bring President Putin to the negotiating table,” she added.

Zelenskyy thanked Von Der Leyen for additional sanction measures, adding that “the sanctions show that we are serious”.
