National parks to put “America first” with new increases in foreign tourist costs

While millions of visitors flock to the breathtaking landscapes of American national parks, the Trump administration takes action to “return America again by improving our national parks”.
President Trump signed an executive decree at the end of last week in setting up a number of ways to improve access, preserve more, expand opportunities and improve affordability, according to the decree.
“It is the policy of my administration to preserve these opportunities for American families in future generations by increasing the entrance fees for foreign tourists,” notes the decree.
The safety policy of the almost 20 -year -old airport is completed by the Trump administration
Doug Burgum, secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, will be responsible for developing a strategy to “increase income” and “improve recreational experience” by increasing the entrance fees and the success of the park for non-residents.
While most national parks are free to enjoy, around 106 parks have costs for private vehicles and / or per person.

Vehicle costs apply to a vehicle and passengers, while costs per person apply individually if people enter or by bicycle, according to the NPS website.
President Trump announced the new policy during a “Salute To America” event launching America 250 at the Iowa State Fair last Thursday.

“To finance improvements and improve experiences through the park system, for this anniversary, I have just signed a decree to increase the entry fees for foreign tourists while keeping the low prices for the Americans,” said the president in part.

He added: “The national parks will first be on America. We will take it. America first for national parks.”
A spokesperson for the Interior Department told Fox News Digital this week: “This is a lasting step of common sense to preserve our national treasures without increasing the costs of costs for American citizens.”

The spokesperson added: “With record visits, this approach guarantees that all those who benefit from these emblematic places contribute to their care and longevity.”
Fox News Digital previously pointed out a “two level” price system in parks, hotels and even restaurants in Japan while officials are struggling with the question of surprising.

Yukiyoshi Noguchi, Japanese Embassy Advisor to Washington, DC, said at the time: “Japanese sometimes say (that) Japanese cannot benefit from domestic tourism.”
According to the NPS, 331,863,358 amazing people visited the 400 American national parks in 2024.
