American immigration and the application of customs target an illegal foreigner who is accused of strangling his little sister with a power cord, leaving the baby in critical condition.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Internal Security announced that he had submitted an inmate against Alvaro Mejia-Ayala, a 21-year-old Salvado national, after being arrested for a finger by police in Leesburg, Virginia.

According to the Leesburg police department, police responded to a baby report that did not breathe in the morning of September 17. The department said that he had discovered that the baby had been the victim of an assault and that Mejia-Ayala had fled on foot.

Affiliated to the local fox Fox 5 reported that the infant had been found unanswered with a white load cable around his neck.

With the help of the Sheriff’s Bureau of the county of Loudoun, the department found Mejia-Ayala. He is now in detention and is accused of strangulation.

According to DHS, the baby is in critical condition.

A spokesman for the agency told Fox News Digital that Mejia-Ayala had entered the United States as part of an El Salvador family unit during the Obama administration in 2016. The spokesman said that on October 17, 2024, the Biden administration rejected the United States in Mejia-Ayala, which allows him to remain illegally in the United States.

The DHS also said that Mejia-Ayala had already been arrested by the police for reckless driving in 2024, but he was released “before Ice could even deposit an inmate”.

Virginia General District Court’s online database indicates that Mejia-Ayala pleaded guilty to an imprudent driving offense in February 2024. The database also lists several other accusations against Mejia-Ayala, including driving without a license in 2023 and not displaying license plates in 2024 and 2025.

DHS assistant secretary, Tricia McLaughlin, said the case, saying that “Ice had filed an immigration detainee to ensure that this odious criminal is not released in the American streets”.

“What kind of sick monster strangles a defenseless and innocent little girl with a load cord? This barbarism has no place in the United States,” said McLaughlin. “President Trump and secretary Noem have been clear: illegal criminal foreigners are not welcome in the United States.”

In a separate message published on X, McLaughlin wrote: “Pray for this precious little girl. May God cover and protect her.”

In another x post, Homeland Security called Mejia-Ayala as “monster” and the case an example of “poorly pure”.

“This illegal criminal foreigner has strangled an infant with a charge cable,” wrote the DHS, adding: “President Trump and @Sec_Noem will not allow this barbarism in America.”

A spokesperson for Biden refused to comment. Fox News Digital also contacted Obama spokesperson but did not receive an answer at the time of publication.
