If I had to break my day by what I spend the most time, reading would obviously exceed my activities. But after that, the next thing would probably be to create lists of books. I spend a good part of my day adding titles to the lists! Books organized per month, books organized by genre, my favorite books, books that I want to buy, ideas for book articles, books that I want to read, books that I want to read even earlier … You have the idea. I am a list of the list!
I have a document with more than 3,000 titles that come out in the rest of 2025 to keep me informed of the versions to come. For this post, I plunged into this list to choose my five most anticipated fantastic books of the summer. Now I’m patient with most things, but I really hate to wait to read books. Like, veruca salt impatience. Fortunately, there are so many other books that I can distract myself with the available titles! But you can bet when these books are available, I will zip on my broom to get them right away. Let’s see them!

A witch guide with magic insinit by Sangu Mandanna (Berkley, July 15)
Mandanna The very secret society of irregular witches It was a fabulous and comfortable delight, and this follow -up seems just as charming. She is a young witch named will be Swan. Now, she heads an inn with her super-fantasy without longer, that she restored to life (which could have something to do with the fact that she gets the guild boot), and a “semi-violar” fox speaking. Then one day, a magician presents himself, also hoping to discover the fate that will be recently learned could restore his magic. Prediction: kissing parts to follow.

The Hellebore library by Cassandra Khaw (Tor Nightfire, July 22)
Taking things in a direction completely different from that of the last choice is this dark bad fantasy of the author of Salt becomes heavy And more. Participants of the Hellebore Technical Institute for Gifs are among the most powerful entities in the world and are taught by a dangerous faculty. When this faculty is unleashed on the day of graduation, eating most classmates from Alessa Li, she and other survivors will have to understand how to escape the library before also becoming food. Protecting and money by T. Kingfisher (Tor Books, August 19)
In his second of the three books that released in 2025, T. Kingfisher tackles the story of Snow White. Anja is a poison consumption healer who is called to the castle by the king to save his dying daughter, snow. All Anja’s abilities cannot cure it – until it discovers a magic mirror that houses a secret world. Does this world really house the remedy … or their destruction? T. Kingfisher is an automatic purchasing author for me, which means that I have a lot of his books, because it is so prolific! But honestly, this book made me “Narcissist Cat”. (Which is redundant.) Prediction: “She has always had that Small drop of poison. “”

Katabasis by RF Kuang (Harper Voyager, August 26)
Wrap things with one of the largest versions not only in summer, but of the year: Katabasisfrom RF Kuang, the author of YELLOW,, Babeland more. Alice needs Professor Grimes to realize her dreams of being the most powerful magician, but her bitter rival, Peter, also has the same idea. Now they have to cross hell together, not knowing if they can trust themselves, in a race to save their teacher and their future. Okay, stars, now take the knowledge you have learned here today and use it for good, not evil. If you want to know more about the books, I’m talking about books almost constantly (when I don’t read them), and you can hear me say a lot of adjectives about them on the Riot Podcast book All books! and on Bluesky And Instagram.

The most anticipated literary events of (the rest) 2025
For some, the main literary events of the year are a pleasant or interesting surprise – something to appreciate in the moment, rather than anticipating. For others, there is a great attraction in the bookmark of these occasions in advance to plan, predict and build. Me and the rest of the editorial team are in the field of reflection on what the year has in reserve for book lovers, publishers, industry experts, etc., that is why we all gathered towards the end of 2024 to trace everything, from the birthdays of the great literary, to birthdays of books that have had a deep cultural impact, to the birthday prices this year. We have marked these events as they occur on the site for what promises to be a very busy year in books, but there are still so many major exciting literary events in 2025 to anticipate.
Whether you are a creator of content focused on the book or adjacent, someone who strengthens his TBR with literary prize winners, or a book lover who appreciates being aware, I am here with a starting point to target the rest of this year of theater …
