Multiple injured during the Dallas Ice Installation

On Wednesday, at least three people were injured in a shooting in an ice installation in Dallas, Texas, confirmed Fox News.
The shooting would have taken place while ice officers transfer prisoners in the establishment. The shooter died due to a self-inflicted injury, according to the authorities. Internal security secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that there were “multiple dead” in the shooting.
“There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas Ice detention center,” wrote Noem on X. “The details are still emerging, but we can confirm that there have been several injuries and deaths. The shooter died by a self-inflicted ball injury.”
“Although we do not yet know the reason, we know that our ice forces are faced with unprecedented violence against them. This must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families,” she added.

The authorities say that the shooter opened fire when the Portculis at the installation was opened when transferring prisoners. Aside from the shooter, the authorities did not confirm if the injured or killed during the attack were prisoners or ice officers.
“The obsessive attack on the police, especially the ice, must stop. I pray for everyone injured in this attack and for their families,” wrote Vice-President JD Vance on X.
