After President Donald Trump said in remarks on Monday that the United States authorized 600,000 Chinese students in the country, representative Marjorie Taylor Greene opposed this political perspective.
“We must not leave 600,000 Chinese students to attend American colleges and universities that could be faithful to the CCP,” she said in a job on X.
The number of international students in the United States from China for the 2023/2024 academic year was 277,398, according to data on Opendoorsdata.org.
Speaking on Monday at the White House, Trump reported a potential thaw in American-Chinese relations.
“We are going to get along well with China. I hear so many stories about us do not allow their students,” Trump told journalists, indicating that students will be allowed to enter. “This is very important, 600,000 students,” he said.

Laura Ingraham of Fox News Channel pressed the commercial secretary Howard Lunick on the issue of the episode of “The Ingraham Angle”, asking him in a ostentatious way, “Mr. Secretary, with all the respect I owe you, how 600,000 students from the Chinese Communist country, by putting America first?”
Lutnick said Trump is that without 600,000 Chinese students, “you would guide them from above, all students were going in better schools and that 15% of universities” in the United States would pass.
Greene suggested that if schools need Chinese students to stay afloat, they should go bankrupt because they are retained by the Chinese Communist Party.
“If refusing to allow these Chinese students to attend our schools in fact fail 15% of them, these schools should in any case because they are supported by the CCP,” wrote Greene in his article on X.
