“His voice had an influence in all aspects of our baseball operation, professional, amateur and international evaluation to the evaluation of players of the major league. He was an invaluable resource and advisor.

Before working with the Rangers, Littlefield spent time with Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres. Littlefield won the scout of the year with the Padres in 2007.

The Rangers are 79-75 and lost their last five games. The team was in the running for the third point of the American league, but their losses’ sequence crushed its chances of playoffs.
The Rangers have five games behind the Houston Astros for the third point of the American League. With only eight games to play, the Rangers should make a sequence of wild victories and get a lot of help from the teams in front of them to make the playoffs.
