In one of the biggest night strikes since the start of the war, Russia has sparked some 614 drones, ballistic and cruise missiles across Ukraine, killing one, injuring dozens and destroying an electronics company belonging to the United States within an hour from two NATO borders, confirmed officials on Thursday morning.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksyy said that the strike of the private American company, which involved “several” cruise missiles, was “very revealing” following President Donald Trump’s attempts to force Moscow to end his invasion.

“Last night, the Russian army established one of its crazy anti-Records,” said Zelenskyy. “They targeted civil infrastructure facilities, residential buildings and our people.

“Several cruise missiles have been launched against a company belonging to the United States in Zakarpattia,” he continued, describing the company as “a regular civilian company, supported by American investments, producing everyday items such as coffee machines”.

“And yet it was also a target for the Russians. It is very revealing,” added Zelenskyy.

The American company would be Flex Ltd., whose head office is in Austin, Texas, but which has commercial locations around the world.

About fifteen people were apparently injured during the strike in the city of Mukachevo in the Zakarpattia region – which is only 30 miles from two NATO countries, in Hungary and Slovakia.

Flex Ltd. did not immediately answer questions from Fox News Digital.

The night strike included 574 drones and 40 missiles, and struck many places across Ukraine.

The White House also immediately answered Fox News Digital questions concerning the president’s reaction to the strike which targeted an American company, although it declared on Tuesday: “It is possible that (Putin) does not want to conclude an agreement”.

“We are going to discover President Putin in the next two weeks,” he added.

NATO leaders have repeatedly presented Putin’s desire to engage in good faith negotiations as well as his desire to end his war ambitions – questions that gained little clarity even after the meeting in person of Trump with the chief of Kremlin in Alaska on Friday.

France – who has become a leading player supporting Ukraine – reiterated this point on Thursday, and in a statement to Fox News Digital, despite the Russian claims that they are “ready to negotiate”, the strikes overnight suggest the opposite.

“These attacks, the most massive in a month, illustrate the lack of Russia with any real intention to engage seriously in peace talks,” a spokesman for the French ministry of Europe and foreign affairs told Fox News.

“France reiterates its support for President Trump’s initiative in favor of just and sustainable peace and will continue to work with determination alongside Ukraine and its partners,” added the spokesperson.
