“As a member of the Congress, I worked with Mr. Santos on many questions and I can attest to his will and his dedication to serve the inhabitants of New York who elected him to the post,” she wrote. “He is sincerely full of remorse and has accepted the full responsibility of his actions. “While his crimes justify a punishment, many of my colleagues with whom I serve have committed very worse offenses than Mr. Santos, but have made no criminal accusation,” Greene continued. “I firmly believe in the responsibility of his actions, but I think that the condemnation of Mr. Santos is an excessive excess of the judicial system.”

He was expelled from Congress in December 2023 after a scathing ethics report, just becoming the sixth member never moved from the popular house.

Santos remained publicly active after his conviction, selling video messages on Cameo and performing publications on social networks.

Except by scolding, Santos should remain incarcerated until the beginning of 2032. He would have called on President Donald Trump for Clemence.

Greene and the White House did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
