After a moving and sincere third season, Favorite fans are eagerly awaiting news on a potential season four. Nick and Charlie’s adventure continues to captivate audiences around the world, but will Netflix bring the beloved duo back for another chapter? Here’s everything we know so far about a possible Favorite season four.

Will Favorite Be renewed for season 4?

From now on, Favorite has not been officially renewed for a fourth season. However, creator Alice Oseman shared her hopes for the future of the series. In an October 2024 interview with Tudum NetflixOseman confirmed there are still many stories left to tell. The series is based on Oseman’s graphic novels, and with a sixth and final volume on the horizon, the material is certainly there.

Discussions are reportedly underway with Netflix and the production team, leaving fans optimistic that Nick, Charlie and their friends will return to our screens soon. Oseman remains committed to “telling the end of the story in television form,” although she admits there are many factors at play. Fingers crossed that Netflix gives us the news we’ve all been waiting for!

When could season 4 be released?

Without an official renewal, there is no confirmed release date for Favorite season four so far. That said, we can make an educated guess based on the series’ previous timeline. Seasons one, two, and three dropped steadily a year apart, with season three premiering in October 2024.

If Favorite is renewed soon, fans could potentially see season four land on Netflix in late 2025. In the meantime, we’ll have to make do with rewatching previous seasons and revisiting the books.

Who will be part of the cast?

It’s hard to imagine Favorite without its main duo, Joe Locke as Charlie Spring and Kit Connor as Nick Nelson. Both actors have become fan favorites and are expected to return for season four if it happens.

Isaac’s journey of self-discovery was one of the highlights of the third season. Her exploration of her aromantic and asexual identity was handled beautifully, and fans are hoping to learn more about her solo story in season four. Likewise, Imogen’s revelation that she is gay opened the door to a gripping narrative as she navigates this new chapter in her life.

There are still many stories left to tell, and Favorite fans will look forward to how these characters continue to grow.
