Representative Nicole Maliotakis, RN.Y., warns the New Yorkers to stay attentive to their environment after a deadly mass shooting in the heart of Manhattan on Monday.

The only republican representing New York in the House of Representatives warned that little was known to what led to the incident, which, she said, seemed to be “isolated”.

But she said that was another example of the dangers of the world today.

“It did not seem to be a random attack. It seemed to have the reason to go to this particular building. But everyone must remain vigilant. I mean, we know in a post-114th year world, we must always remain vigilant, keep our eyes open and report things that feel suspicious,” said Malliotakis.

She said it was a “concerning” situation, noting that the man had been captured on the armed camera of an assault rifle entering the building of Park Avenue, where he quickly opened fire.

“My heart breaks for the woman and the children of this policeman, and all the families who lost their loved ones yesterday. Because people, you know, leave their house, they go to work, they go about their usual routine and they do not go home,” said Maliotakis.

“And it is obviously shocking, and it is heartbreaking, but it is also a reminder to what extent life is fragile and how we must remain vigilant as a community and country. Anything can happen at any time.”

Maliotakis urged his responsible colleagues not to politicize the situation and said that she provided that the legislators would be informed of the mayor’s office and the New York Police Service (NYPD).

She said when he was asked what information she hoped to obtain: “I think that, obviously, this person was probably not on the city radar because he came from Nevada. The question was, was it on the radar of the police of the Nevada or the federal government, due to a story of criminal activity or mental illness?”

“What was his reason, (had he) a story that could have raised a red flag?” She asked.

An armed man, identified by police like Shane Tamura, 27, would have traveled from the western part of the United States in New York, where he opened fire and killed three people in an office building in the center of Manhattan before turning the weapon on himself.

Police said Tamura had an address in Las Vegas and had “documented mental health history”, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

Several people were left dead, including a police officer and Tamura himself, and several others were injured.

Adams said that the man’s suicide note had alluded to him with a chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and blame the NFL, although he has never played for the professional league.

“We are still going through the suicide note to focus on the exact reason,” said Adams.
