But the fight has intensified when clips published on social networks have shown that Suárez arguing with a member of the staff of the Sounders before appearing to spit in the face.

Suárez, 38, was finally separated from man. Athletics Identified the staff member as the Sounders security director Gene Ramirez.

Fox News Digital asked for comments from Inter Miami and Sounders concerning Suárez’s actions.

Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer deplored the post-match “frustrations”, but insisted that it would not allow it to be “history”.

“Unfortunately, this will divert part of the attention of a great performance of the Spenders of Seattle,” said Schmetzer, via ESPN. “Their players were frustrated and that led to certain things on the field that should not happen on the field.

“I’m going to close this because it shouldn’t be the story. The story of the game is not what happened after the match. I had a moment of calm with (Lionel) Messi On the field (after the match) and we talked about and we tried to repel it.

“It’s story.”

Messi was not involved in the post-match fight.

Sunday was not the first controversy of Suárez. He bit the players several times, notably the Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the group phase 2014 FIFA World Cup.

FIFA prohibited it accordingly, ending its participation in this World Cup.
