LSU football first year student arrested for accessories

The first year of LSU Tigers, JT Lindsey, went to the authorities when he faced charges that he hosted two men accused of murder in his dormitory.

Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18, were each sought after for an armed robbery and accusations of second degree murder in Louisiana, said the Alexandria police department. The American service Marshals apprehended the two suspects Monday in the dormitories of the LSU.

The two were accused of killing a 17 -year -old in May.

Lindsey was arrested on Friday for two accusations of accessories after the fact of the second degree factor and released the same day with a deposit of $ 5,000.

An affidavit said that Jacobs had an identity document from the Lindsey school and had been able to give the football player’s brooch to allow him to access the dormitory and that the two could be seen together as far as July 24, according to At Wafb-TV.

Lindsey’s lawyer Kris Perret, said at the point of sale in a statement that his client did not know that the two suspects were sought in the context of murder and that Lindsey had been categorical about his innocence.

“My client JT Lindsey was arrested for accessory allegations after a fact for authorizing two people, 17 and 18, who without him, were wanted in Alexandria, to stay in his LSU apartment for a few nights from July 24 or around July 24,” said Perret.

“It is alleged that the two people were wanted for crimes they are accused of having committed in mid-May in 2025 in Alexandria, Louisiana. There is no allegation that JT Lindsey was in any case involved, or in any way linked to the alleged crimes of arrested.”

Perret added that Lindsey cooperates with the authorities.

“He did not know that arrested people had committed crimes or that they had been accused of crimes, or that they were wanted by the police for questioning when he allowed them to stay in his apartment,” he added. “If he had known that the individuals had been accused of crimes or wanted by the police, he would not have authorized them to enter his apartment or to them in any way.

“In addition, at no time JT Lindsey did anything, neither taken any measure, or demonstrated no intention to feed, hide or help the accused and now arrested to avoid arrest, apprehension, trial, conviction or sanction for their crimes. It is happy that these people were taken in the event of guard by authorities.”

LSU said it was aware of Lindsey’s arrest and would have “no comments out of respect for the legal process”. Perret said Lindsey had been suspended at the moment.

Lindsey, who was born in Alexandria, was one of the two best runners who engaged in school in the promotion of 2025. He was classified as a four -star hope.
