The star of Indiana Fever Lexie Hull and the Storm striker of Seattle Gabby Williams collided when the two WNBA teams met on Tuesday.
Since then, Hull has developed a pair of black eyes.
Fevering coach Stephanie White said the brands stressed Hull’s grain.
“Whenever I see it, I say to myself:” Oh, poor Lexie “,” said White on Friday. “But, you know, I think it really embodies the tenacity of Lexie when you look at it, and you see these two black eyes. I mean, it is hard as nails, you know.

“She plays everything each possession, all the time, and sometimes the result is two black eyes, and therefore I smile every time I see her. But it is definitely a perfect point of view of the tenacity she brings.”

At the first quarter of the Tuesday match, Hull and Williams both fell on the ground in pain visible for a few moments after hitting the head. The coaches took care of the athletes, who were both able to get up and walk without help. Williams returned to the match later in the first quarter.
Caitlin Clark’s return to fever range remains mystery
Hull returned to the fever bench after spending time in the locker room. Hull seemed to have a knot on her forehead once she got into the game.
She finished the match with five points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. The fever won a 95-75 victory.
While swelling has finally calmed down, Hull ended up with bruises before his eyes. Hull said she had quickly become comfortable with the fact that the condition would be something that she should face for the moment.

“I put a patch (on the knot), I slept with it. The next day, I woke up, and I said to myself:” OK, the bump is almost left, but now I have two black eyes, “so it was tragic,” said Hull. “But, I mean, it is at this stage that, unfortunately, I will not be able to hide it. People know, so I drive with it.”
Hull said the coaches had made their reasonable diligence to make sure that it did not support a facial fracture or any other serious injury. She confirmed that she had “been fully verified” before she returned to Tuesday’s match.
“Honestly, when it happened, I was relieved, because I could feel, as if I was ready to leave, as I felt completely with that,” said Hull. “They did all the tests they had to do and put ice on it right away, try to keep the swelling, but I felt good to know that, as, obviously, it could have been much worse. And I am grateful for people online who wanted to check me and make sure that I am well, but I am well, I was completely checked.”
