The former chief of staff to President Joe Biden and an element of his re -election campaign, Ron KlainAnnounced private during the performance of Biden’s disastrous debate: “We are F — Ed.”
“2024: How Trump took over the White House and the Lost America Democrats”, a new book published Tuesday by Josh Dawsey journalists from the Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of the New York Times and Isaac Arnsdor of the Washington Post, is the latest analysis of the way Biden lost the White House.
The authors described how, during the debate in June 2024, “Biden aid grimacted while the president began to answer the first question about the economy and the voters who felt that they were worse under his presidency”.
And behind the scenes, while Biden rocked on an answer that ended with questionable, “we finally beat Medicare”, back in the relaxation room, Klain got up and announced: “We are F – Ed”, according to the authors.
Biden’s aids pushed an early debate to show Biden’s “strength”, Trump’s “weakness” book, said

Mike Donilon, Bruce Reed and Klain were among Biden’s main final preparations before the debate, according to the book.

Although Klain expresses an internal doubt, Klain continued to defend the president in the midst of calls against donors and politicians so that Biden withdrew.
On June 30, 2024, Klain refused an X Post which urged the Americans to ignore the “reports” with “anonymous sources on the Donors of Dem calling Biden to withdraw”.
“We are the Democratic Party! These people do not decide to consult a pro-P-People president,” said Klain on July 4, 2024, in response to reports on the Democrats’ pressure campaign against Biden.

According to the book, after the debate, Klain called Jeff Zients, his successor as the Chéjor chief of Biden, to say that he was “disturbed that Biden planned to spend the weekend at Camp David”.
“We have an emergency,” Klain told Zients, according to the book. “We have a crisis on Capitol Hill, and the crisis will speed up.”
But Zients insisted that Biden was going to camp David to be with his family, instead of the Klain plan to appease the progressive wing of the party with a daring program in the second term.
“I have no idea the reason why he will camp David this weekend,” said Klain, according to the authors. “He must work on phones, day and night.”

Even before the debate, when concerns about the ability of the first octogenarian president to lead the country through a second term came to a boiling point, Klain had concerns, as the book represents.
Klain had supervised the debate of preparation for each Democratic presidential candidate since 2004, according to the authors. Between the cold of Biden, a shorter preparation window than usual and the members of the staff expressing private, the preparation of the camp in the David camp is not entirely planned as planned, said the authors.
“It will be really touched and go to Atlanta,” Klain told Donilon and Reed before the debate, according to the book.

Fox News Digital was largely written dating from the 2020 presidential campaign on Biden’s cognitive decline and the alleged role of his inner circle to cover it.
When he was contacted to comment, Klain told Fox News Digital: “I have nothing to add.”
Biden did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
