The White House is looking for additional security funds at the Congress for executive and judicial branches when it sails the consequences of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Fox News Digital learned.

The White House requested additional $ 58 million funding for the Congress executive and judicial branches, spokesperson for the White House management and budget office, confirmed on Monday at Fox News Digital.

Additional security funds are said to be added to a continuous resolution, the spokesman said. A bill on temporary expenses will have to pass by the end of the month to keep the government open, otherwise the government could face a closure on September 30 at the end of the funds.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.

Kirk, 31, was killed after being killed in the neck during a stop during his American return tour on Wednesday at Utah Valley University. The assassination occurs about a year after two attempts to take the life of President Donald Trump.

Nicholas John Roske, 29, pleaded guilty in April to have tried to kill the judge of the Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh in June 2022, according to the Ministry of Justice.
