North Korean leader Kim Jong One is on the way to China on one of his heavily armored fortress style trains, state media reported on Monday.
The 41 -year -old dictator is expected to arrive on Tuesday in Beijing to attend a military parade with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kim’s visit has marked his first trip to Beijing since 2019 and comes while Pyongyang seeks to strengthen links with China and Russia.
The event commemorates the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender to the Second World War, highlighting Beijing’s efforts to highlight military power and deepen alliances to an era of increased global tensions.

The Beijing military parade will see thousands of soldiers crossing Tiananmen in a 70 -minute display featuring the last Chinese weapons.
The visit comes shortly after the leading trip to the South Korean president Lee Jae Myung in the United States and meeting Donald Trump last month, where he underlined trilateral cooperation to counter nuclear and advanced missile programs in North Korea.

Kim’s father, Kim Jong Il, also relied on railroad trips, is afraid to fly.
Kim continued this practice, especially during his last trip to Beijing in 2019 and two meetings with Putin since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
