New York, NY – Friday evening, two of the largest female boxers in the world finished their trilogy – and it was a three -fighting sweep.
Katie Taylor won her third victory over Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden, the same place where their epic trilogy started over three years ago.

He was also widely disputed, with a judge who considered him a draw. But two others gave a 97-93 victory to Taylor, giving him the majority decision.
Taylor first prevented from saying that there was additional pressure in the fight on Friday given the circumstances of the first two fights, which will start again shortly after the victory. However, in the ring, she let out a “commerous” celebration, almost as if to say that Serrano could not simply beat her, and later admitted that it was “very satisfactory”.

“There is always a little pressure in these fights. It is normal to feel a little pressure, but I have not felt more pressure than the previous fights,” said Taylor after the fight. “Each fight in which I have been involved, these are enormous events. There is always a little relief when your hand is lifted. Complete joy. All the hard work pays, all the sacrifices you make, it is an exhausting sport, so it is such a relief when your hand is lifted.”
There is no longer much left to say for Taylor, and there is no longer much else to accomplish-she has proven that she is the best of this generation, and perhaps of all time, once again defending her WBA, WBC, WBC and IBF titles to a person who is easily in the Mt. de Boxing’s Mt.’s Boxing.
Retirement is an option, but it is not ready to commit in one way or another.
“I wouldn’t say I have to prove,” said Taylor. “But I’m going to sit down and relax and decide if I’m going to fight again in the future.”
