Times reported that UN employees joked by saying that they could turn off the escalator.
When asked on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday evening if the dysfunction could be an act of sabotage, Leavitt was frank.
“This is definitely what it seems to be for me,” she said. “There were reports concerning the London Times weekend … that UN globalist employees mainly had to create the President of the United States.”
Leavitt said the American secret services were examining the issue.
“If we find that it was a United Nations staff who deliberately tried to trip, literally tripping the President and the First Lady of the United States, it is better to be a responsibility for these people,” she added.
A United Nations spokesperson later told Fox News that someone from the American delegation or security details had run in the escalator, then led to the trumps outside the escalator. The act of running down the escalator sparked an alarm, the judgment.
“After crossing the security doors, President Trump and the First Lady approached the escalator,” said Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN secretary general António Guterres. “In an effort to document their arrival, a videographer from the American delegation went on the escalator before the president and the first lady. While the videographer, who went back, the escalator reached the summit, the first lady, followed by President Trump, set up the stages below. At that time (9:50 am), the escalator arrived at a stop.
At that time, the escalator stopped, said Dujarric.
“Our technician, who was on site, resets the escalator as soon as the delegation has climbed to the second floor,” he added. “A later survey, including a reading of the central processing unit of the machine, said that the escalator stopped after an integrated safety mechanism in the comb step was triggered at the top of the escalator. The safety mechanism is designed to prevent people or objects be accidentally caught and stuck or fired in the gigantic.”
Dujarric said the videographer may inadvertently triggered the security function.
The UN added that there was nothing harmful in what happened.

The escalator’s malfunction was not the only breakdown. Trump was forced to improvise his speech after a telepromitator froze.
“I feel very happy to be here with you, however – and in this way, you speak more of the heart – I can only say that anyone exploiting this telepromote is in great difficulty,” he said laughing.
The telepromitator resumed a few minutes in his address.

“I finished seven wars, treated with the leaders of these countries and I have never even received a United Nations telephone call to help finalize the agreement,” said Trump. “Everything I got from the United Nations was an escalator who went up in the middle.
“If the first lady was not in great shape, she would have fallen. But she is in great shape. We are both in good shape. We both supported each other,” he added, attracting more laughs. “These are the two things I obtained from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad telepair.”
