Former vice-president Kamala Harris revealed in his next book, “107 Days”, that the president of the time, Joe Biden, rocked her just before she became face to face with the candidate of the time, Donald Trump, on the scene of the debate.
Biden would have called Harris while she was sitting in a hotel room by preparing the only debate for her abridged campaign. He apparently wanted to wish her good luck – and scold her.
The president of the time said: “My brother called. He spoke to a group of real power brokers in Philly”, according to an extract from the book The guardian. He would then have asked if Harris knew several people related to the question, which she was not.

“His brother had told him that these guys were not going to support me because I had said bad things about him. He was not inclined to believe, he said, but he thought that I should know in case my team encourages me to put the light of day between us,” Harris wrote in the book, according to an extract from the book in the Guardian.
Biden then spoke of his past debate performances, leaving Harris Confus, “angry and disappointed”, according to The Guardian. She was upset that her boss called before a critical moment of her political career and did “everything for himself”. Harris added that Biden “distracted me with the concern of the brokers to be hostile in the largest city in the most important state”.
The first gentleman of the time, Doug Emhoff, apparently noticed that his wife was in distress and advised him to “let go” before facing Trump.

While Harris avoided criticizing Biden during her campaign, she used her next book to shed light on tensions between them as she took her place as a candidate for the Democratic presidential election. Harris’ book should strike the shelves on September 23, but he has already sparked conversations on the 2024 electoral cycle.
In another section, Harris said that “it is Joe and Jill’s decision” became a mantra before the 2024 electoral cycle, she said it was “carefree”, rather than “thanks”, according to an extract published by the Atlantic.

“” This is Joe and Jill’s decision. “We all said that, like a mantra, as if we were all hypnotized.
Harris also revealed in his book that the transport secretary of the time, Pete Buttigieg, was his “first choice” as a running mate, not the governor of Minnesota Tim Walz. However, she said it was “too big risk” because the countryside “already asked for a lot of America: accepting a woman, a black woman, a black woman married to a Jewish man”.
