JUXTAPOZ – Catterine Repko “Diets” @ Huxley -Parlour, London
Hoksley Perler I am pleased to announce a new business exhibition Catherine Rebco. DuetSwallow Street Gallery will display a set of ten large -scale new panels that focus on connecting two people. On the threshold, the artist’s themes are simultaneously of giving and negative, as Repko weaves a mystery in her paintings by stripping of space.
Exhibition address – diodes – suggests coincidence, performance or compassion for a melodic, but by virtue of the definition it can only be achieved through two separate people. This duality is a starting point for the new Repko work group, exploring the limits of teamwork and difference. In the greatest evidence, two people are in a step, where their outstretched hands are hesitant, as if they were in invisible existence, while in the constellations, the number in the ink blues turns from their companion, which is the slight tilt of their head, which creates a pointed gesture into a common tenderness.
There are increasing rings for the subjects of this new set of work: the point of the fingers, the knees are determined to move, TorsOS picks itself. The animation of the numbers gives the panels time quality; Repko picks up its subjects in the transition between that which came before and who is waiting for us. Umbras shows the wide lines that envelop Repko numbers, which creates limits between the subject and the background. The official experience of the artist extends from liquidity: Color aircraft swing between the ostrich and the transparency that provide ambiguity from depth and perspective, between concrete and fighting; Severe -layer spaces of more generous council oil, illuminated in making marks.
The chain rupture in the plains, as it presents a corresponding point with its single personality presented against a shallow background of burning screaming and dirt tones. Looking at her shoulder, she appears to react with a spectrum behind the boundaries of the fabric. The ambiguity of this arrested moment shakes a specific narrative stability and provides alternative facts, which provides the proposal that the young are savings. The numbers in diodes, in this context, can be understood as multiple versions of this individual topic. Repko focuses psychology from its citizens, calling for introspection and exploring the distance between the characters and the world that inhabits them. The diodes examine a common experience inside the slide between communication and distance.
