New York Yankees placed Aaron judge on the wounded list of 10 days on Sunday with a right flexor tension because the fears were calmed by speculation that the injury could have been more serious.

An MRI has shown that the judge had no acute damage to his ulnar collateral ligament, which would probably require Tommy John surgery and an extended stay on IL. He missed his second game of the season while the team lost against the Philadelphia Phillies.

He had a plasma injection rich in platelets and he could return to the action of 10 to 14 days.

“You never want to go to the tube. It’s never fun. You don’t know what’s going to arise,” said the judge. “This is why I have somewhat rejected a lot of this imagery and things like that, because if I don’t know what’s going on, it can’t hurt you, I suppose.”

Yankees manager Aaron Boone has sigh of relief.

“Overall, we have had good news today,” he said. “I think we all feared the worst.”

The judge admitted Boone on Friday that he had struggled to spend beyond 60 feet.

The alignment decision was retroactive on Saturday, and the Yankees exchanged for Amed Rosario, which the team acquired in an agreement with the Washington Nationals, to take its place.

The judge set up another MVP type season. He won the MVP of the American League last season and in 2022.
