Chamber Mike Johnson, R-La., Said the Republicans win the email war on the closure of the current government and urged his conference to keep heat on the Democrats in Congress during a private appeal with legislators on Saturday.

The call came on the fourth day of the closure, one day after the Democrats of the Senate again rejected a plan led by the GOP to maintain the federal agencies funded until November 21.

During the call, Johnson and other leaders of the GOP in the Chamber urged their Republican colleagues to use this next week in their districts to tell what the current closure means for them, said Fox News Digital.

The lecturer of the room expressed his confidence that the closure would end quickly if the Republicans “hold the line,” said Fox News Digital, and has praised the unit of the Gop house so far in the midst of the fallout.

Johnson also told the Republicans towards the end of the appeal that the Chamber would only return after the Democrats of the Senate voted to reopen the government, said a source.

The leaders of the GOP of the Chamber and the Senate indicated that they would not move their current federal financing proposal, a short -term expenditure bill called a continuous resolution (CR) which would maintain the almost stable expenditure levels for seven weeks.

This measure adopted the Chamber – largely along the party’s parts – September 19. The room has since been absent in order to put pressure on the Democrats of the Senate to accept the plan.

This is also why Johnson chose Friday to designate next week as a district work period, canceling a legislative session previously planned from Tuesday to Friday.

Johnson told the House Republicans during the Saturday call that it was the best way to prevent “democratic disturbances,” said Fox News Digital.

No Republican has expressed his disagreement with the plan, said Fox News Digital, signaling the GOP unit on the issue.

He told journalists at a press conference on Friday morning that the Chamber would not return before the head of the majority of the Senate Chuck Schumer, Dn.y., and the Democrats agreed with the Bill of the Republicans.

“We have adopted it and was rejected by the Senate,” said Johnson to journalists at a press conference. “Thus, the house will return in session and do its job as soon as Chuck Schumer allows us to reopen the government. It is simple and simple.”

The Democrats, who were furious by being sidelined in the federal financing negotiations, put pressure for an extension of the Obamacare subsidies reinforced during the Pandemic COVID-19. These improvements would expire by the end of 2025 without action of the congress.

The Democrats also introduced a counter-proposition for a CR which would maintain the government funded until October 31 while reversing the MEDICAID GOP cups made in their “big, beautiful bill” (OBBB).

The counter-proposition would also have restored federal funding of NPR and PBS which was reduced by the Trump administration earlier this year.

The Republicans have developed this plan as a non-starter full of partisan requests, while stressing that the Democrats voted for a “clean” measure similar to the GOP proposal 13 times during the time of former president Biden.

During the Saturday call, the leaders of the GOP in the Chamber encouraged the Republicans to emphasize that the counter-proposition of the Democrats would restore the funding of illegal immigrants receiving MEDICAIDI dollars which was cut by the so-called major bill, Fox News Digital was said.

Democrats accused the Republicans of lying on this line of attack.

GOP leaders also underlined the call that the military is not paid during government closings, urging the Republicans to assert this point in their districts, while warning that federal funding for floods is also in danger.

Fox News Digital has also been informed that the head of the majority of the room, Steve Scalizes, R -La., Said that the next important date in the closing fight would be on October 15, the date of the next military pay check – which they could miss if the closure is underway.

The Democrats of the Senate have now rejected the GOP financing plan four times since September 19. The Senate is expected to vote again on the bill on Monday.
