The Alabama Crimson Tide was shocked on Saturday afternoon, while team No. 8 fell to Florida State, 31-17, to launch the 2025 university football season.
The massive upheaval was a major scenario in university football, in particular given the factor of fear that the crimson tide has had on this sport for years.
But the winner of the Heisman trophy, Johnny Manziel, said that the general fear of Alabama was no longer for the other programs they face according to the calendar.

“In the past, you are walking in an Alabama team, you probably have a little fear,” said Manziel, who knows everything about Alabama after playing his academic ball at Texas A&M, on the “Nightcap Show” with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. “It is’ Bama. The team was a dynasty, you have a little fear. This aspect of fear of what the Alabama is – completely gone. No one is afraid of these boys. Not Vandy (Vanderbilt), not Kentucky, not anyone.
“They have erased in the past two years. You say that the acquisition is deep, but will not sit here and leave it for sure. They will find it in the woods somewhere.”
Manziel is not the only one to call the crimson tide.

Stephen A. Smith of ESPN sent a warning to fans of Bama after defeat to the seminoles, saying that Nick Saban’s days have long disappeared.
“I’m sorry people. I really am. But it seems that the days of @alabamaftbl – @alabamaftbl by Nick Saban – are Looooonnnggggg Gart. The bags went. Il.”

The quarter-Arrière des seminoles Thomas Castellanos ran for 78 yards with a touchdown and launched 152 yards by the pass in the victory on the Tide Crimson, ending their impressive sequence of 23 season games.
Saban is the legendary head coach who won six national championships with Alabama, including those in 2015, 2017 and 2020. But he retired in 2024, with the cranky tide pivoting in Kalen Deboer to fill shoes accomplished in Tuscaloosa.
But Deboer’s first season was a failure in the eyes of the faithful Crimson Tide, after missing the play football playoffs. In 2023, the last year of Saban, the Crimson Tide lost against the Wolverines of Michigan in Rose Bowl, again failing to participate in the match for the national title.

With this defeat against the seminoles, the Alabama calendar no longer becomes difficult to advance in 2025. They will face Georgia next month, while seeing other powers such as Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina and Oklahoma in consecutive weeks.
