EXCLUSIVE: Jewish leaders and defenders criticized the 33 -year -old socialist Zohran Mamdani, since he obtained the Democratic appointment to the mayor of New York, in particular for his refusal to condemn the sentence “globalize the intifada”.
“If Zohran Mamdani is elected, expect a Jewish Exodus from New York,” Fox News Digital Yuval David, actor, filmmaker and Jewish advisor told Fox News.
David, who recently moved from New York to Washington, DC, said more Jewish New Yorkers planned to leave the city due to the rise of anti-Semitism. New York City houses the the largest Jewish population in the world outside of Israel.
According to data From the New York State Budget Policy and Budget Policy Office, “in 2023, almost 44% of all hatred crime incidents recorded 88% of religious hatred crimes targeted the Jewish victims, most of all these crimes”. In New York only, anti-Jewish hatred crimes increased by 81% between 2023 and 2024, according to the NYPD crime report.
Mamdani’s incapacity to go back these positions could cause a calculation in the Democratic Party: “ Harning to five alarms’ ”

“We have seen it with the attacked Jewish companies, we have seen increased security in Jewish synagogues and Jewish schools, and this will continue to spread at unprecedented levels with Mamdani,” said David.
The plot to stop Mamdani: Democrats rush to block the takeover of the far left in New York
During the main campaign, Mamdani’s refusal to condemn the expression “globalizing the intifada” and of recognizing Israel as a Jewish state sparked accusations that he was anti -Semitic. Mamdani has repeatedly denied these statements and affirmed his commitment to condemn the rise of anti -Semitism in New York.
But David said that Mamdani’s sponsorship of a controversial bill, “not on our tenth! Ending the funding of New York of Israeli laws on settlers”, in the New York State assembly Master his feeling.
David said that the bill “would prohibit New York -based non -profit organizations from funding Israeli organizations, which essentially means each major Jewish organization, because each major Jewish organization is linked to Israel. It is therefore a specific target on Jewish organizations that support Israel in the form of foreign military aid regulation.”

The Jewish lawyer explained that this bill is “name to be anti-Israeli” but in fact targets the Jewish community.
“Trying to prevent any organization from being connected to Israel, it is to the detriment of each Jewish community in New York,” said David.
Rabbi Marc Schneier, president of the foundation for ethnic understanding in New York and the founding senior rabbi of the Hampton synagogue, explained: “Antizionism is the last form of anti -Semitism, and antizionism denies the Jews the right to legitimate defense. Antizionism denies the historical connection between the Jewish people and the land of Israel.”
While anti-Zionism has become a rejection of the War of Israel in Gaza among the pro-Palestinian demonstrations which broke out at the University of Columbia and other university campuses across the country, David described Zionism as a “nationalist movement”.

“Anti -Zionism is the last form of anti -Semitism, and anti -Semitism would trigger a massive exodus of New York Jews if we had failed to identify and support the candidate to defeat Mamdani,” said Schneier.
Schneier called the “big supporter of Andrew Cuomo”, the former governor of New York who decided to present himself as independent in the elections of the town hall after losing against Mamdani during the primary last month. Rabbi also said he had hosted Mayor Eric Adams to its congregation.
And David said Cuomo, Adams and the republican candidate Curtis Sliwa “”are all allies to the Jewish community. “But the two Jewish leaders said they were worried that these candidates divided the vote, benefiting from Mamdani.

“Faced with a candidate who is extremist or fanatic, anti -Semitism and socialist, we must elevate our voices in the shouting demonstrations, and moderation is simply not sufficient in terms of which we must react and how the Jewish community must react to this existential threat,” said Schneier.
When asked if there was something Mamdani could do to relieve the concerns of Jewish New Yorkers, David was clear: “abandon”.
Fox News Digital contacted the Mamdani campaign for an answer but did not immediately hear.
