vice-president Jd vance Will head for Indiana on Thursday to meet the Governor of Indiana Mike Braun and end a republican event of the National Convention, Fox News Digital has learned, and should discuss a wide range of subjects with local Republicans, including potential redistribution efforts in the state of Hoosier.

“The vice-president Vance will go to Indianapolis on Thursday, where he will have a headliner of a RNC fundraising,” said Vance Director of Vance, William Martin, in Fox News Digital before the trip. “He will also meet Governor Braun and other state representatives to discuss a variety of questions.”

Indiana is a republican bastion, the GOP controlling the governor’s office and the two chambers of the state legislature. The Republicans control seven of the nine seats in the room, the Republicans floats a redistribution effort which could benefit the party and hunt at least one of the blue seats.

Braun told the media of the state of Indiana on Tuesday that no commitment was made regarding potential redistribution efforts in the state. Other states are in the midst of their own redistribution effort, notably Texas, which has been spoiled in controversy when dozens of state democrats fled the state to prevent the quorum necessary to vote on new Congress cards.

“Whatever we discuss there, if this subject appears, is exploratory,” he told the media when he was asked if he would call a special session to repeat the state before the middle of 2026, Politico reported. “So there was no commitment apart from that.”

“The people who removed the most caïn are those who gerrymand their own states, where he may look like tentacles of a octopus,” he added. “We will see what’s going on.”

Indiana redistributes every 10 years based on new census data. The state of Hosier previously updated its congress district lines in 2020.

The laws of the States seem to be trouble if Indiana legislators could redistrict legal before planning. A non -binding opinion of 1995 from the Office of the Attorney General of the State could not redirect the cycle in the middle of the cycle, reported the Indiana Capital Chronicle.

Braun continued in his Comments to the media Tuesday that the redistribution potentially outside the 10 -year cycle “will not be a calm process” if such an effort is frightened.

The Republican Party has launched a wider national effort to keep control of its majority at the thin house like a half-rate razor, when the party which holds control of the White House generally faces a difficult battle to preserve and secure the seats.

President Donald Trump encouraged redistribution, notably pointing out on Tuesday that redistribution efforts in Texas could lead the GOP to pick five seats.

“In California, everything is Gerrymandered,” Trump said in an interview with CNBC on Tuesday. “And we have the opportunity in Texas to take five seats. We have a very good governor, and we have good people in Texas. And I won Texas. I got the highest vote in Texas history, as you probably know, and we are entitled to five other seats.”

Dozens of Democrats from Texas fled the solo star state over the weekend, before Monday, when the state legislature dominated by Les Républicains was to vote on new redistribution cards. THE Texas House Representatives cannot carry out a legislative activity without quorum.

A quorum was not reached Monday or Tuesday.

The president of Texas de la Chambre, Dustin Burrows, signed arrest warrants on Monday against the absent democrats, following the Chamber of State approving these mandates and the governor Greg Abbott appealing the Department of Public Security of Texas to arrest the “Démocrats delinquents du Texas House”.

None of the Absent Democrats from Texas was arrested on Wednesday afternoon. On Tuesday, the Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn called on Tuesday the FBI to investigate “potential criminal acts, including corruption, and to keep responsible legislators who fled the state in a shameful attempt to block the legislative process in the Texas Chamber”.

Democratic governors, such as JB Pritzker from Illinois and Kathy Hochul in New York, have since opened their proverbial doors to the Democrats in Texas who have fled the Lone Star State.

“I’m going to do everything I can to make sure they are welcome here, that they have the opportunity to stay as long as they need and wish it,” said Pritzker on Sunday while the legislators left Texas for Illinois.

The conservatives and other criticisms have castigated the political blow of the Democrats, in particular by arguing that the Democratic Party has long taken advantage of the Gerrymandering for the benefit of its party.

“The idea that the Democrats of Texas would flee towards Illinois, a state where the DEMS abused Gerrymandering at comic levels, is perfection,” wrote Tom Bevan, the co -founder and president of Realclearpolitics, on X this week.

“To protest against the Democrats in favor of the Gerrymandering ‘Texas fleeing for … the Illinois,” wrote the Missouri republican senator Eric Scmitt on X. “You cannot invent that.”
