The New Jersey Police Fraternal Police Order (NJ FOP) approved the candidate for Governor Jack Ciattarelli on Tuesday, marking a red change on issues of application of the law in the Garden State.

Ciattarelli, a former member of the State Assembly approved by President Donald Trump, reacted to the approval of X, noting that it was “honored” to have the faith, confidence and confidence of the organization’s management.

“As a governor, I will do everything in my power to support the police-and their families. Working in close partnership, we can and do communities in all the security of New Jersey,” he wrote in an article.

“In several respects, the work of the police has never been so difficult, which is why recruitment, retention and morale is down. We can change all this by restoring respect for authority, law and order and, above all, men and women in blue who are trained and dedicated to professionals who are very committed to serving and protecting.”

The NJ FOP does not always approve a candidate for the governor. His most recent approval before Ciattarelli’s head sign was given to the Democratic Governor Phil Murphy in 2016.

“The police need the support of our political leadership,” Ciattarelli wrote in the post. “As governor, they have it from my part, of the Attorney General and of all my administration.”

The 63 -year -old business owner first presented himself as a governor in 2017, finishing finalist in republican primary. In 2021, he obtained the appointment of the GOP but failed to oust Murphy in a quasi-bouleversé.

Ciattarelli promised that, during his first day of office, he will repeal the Directive of the Confidence of State Immigrants, which prevents local police from working in close collaboration with the Federal Immigration Authorities.

While he promised to ask the Attorney General to withdraw the proceedings brought against the Trump administration, he said that his allegiance was with New Jerseyans.
