The first diplomat of Israel to the United Nations rejected the delegates who left the address of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and castigated the international organization for having held key talks in the Middle East during a Jewish party, leaving the delegation of Jerusalem without representation.
“It was a storytelling staged. Most people were not diplomats. They were members of hostile mission staff,” Fox News Digital, Israeli United Nations Ambassador Danny Danon told Fox News.
He noted that Netanyahu was the first speaker of the day, which means that the diplomats who left the room arrived only to participate in the ranging.
“I said to them:” Get out and do not come back “, and I thought it. If they cannot listen to the words of the Prime Minister representing Israel and the Jewish people, I don’t think they have a place in this room,” he said.

Danon added that most delegations had stayed in the room and respected both Netanyahu and the state of Israel.
Netanyahu may have spoken to a smaller audience in the room, but his address was broadcast on speakers in Gaza and on the mobile phones of the Gazans, which the Prime Minister revealed on stage. Danon said that the Prime Minister would often consider how to carry the message and the “brilliant idea” of disseminating it so that the Palestinians can hear that his speech was an extension of this.
Danon told Fox News Digital that Netanyahu’s address was not directed against Hamas leaders, who he argued, “do not care” and understand only the language of tanks and planes. Instead, he said, the message was intended for the inhabitants of Gaza and the hostages that have languished in the enclave for almost two years.
Danon also deplored that the UN has planned key talks in the Middle East during the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashannah.
“They had a discussion on the Middle East, on Israel, without Israel. I think it shows the hypocrisy of the United Nations,” Danon told Fox News Digital. “Some leaders are more careful to get along rather than reward a dialogue.”

Israel calls the UN to push for the state of Palestine a “charade”
Danon said he spoke to the head of the United Nations Security Council to reprogram the discussion but failed to change the date. We do not know which delegation was at the head of the council, because it turns monthly.
Although Israel could not participate in talks during Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year, he remained one of the central numbers of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Israel also faced pressures outside the UN official discussions, several delegations moving to recognize a Palestinian state.
Danon rejected the declarations of France, Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada recognizing the Palestinian state as “empty”.
“We have spoken with numerous delegations. Without naming names, we have been successful that a few countries have not joined this circus, these empty statements, and we are grateful,” said Danon. He added that he believed “on the whole, everyone knows that it is not going anywhere”.

When asked why certain delegations were so determined to recognize, he was the subject of leaders to domestic victories and to use the Middle East conflict to galvanize supporters.
“I think they have internal interests. Take, for example, President Macron. He has so many domestic problems and problems with the economy, with immigration, with Parliament. So it is easier for him to come to the UN and pretend that he really directs something. He knows better than that,” said Danon.

On Monday, after meeting President Donald Trump at the White House, Netanyahu accepted a Gaza agreement supported by the United States to end the war of almost two years. French president Emmanuel Macron, who recognized a Palestinian state last week, said he had praised the plan and expected that Israel “is resolutely committed on this basis”. He added that “Hamas has no choice but to immediately release all the hostages and follow this plan.”
It remains to be seen if Hamas will accept the agreement and, if this is the case, if it will be held under conditions.
