Israel warns the Palestinians to immediately evacuate the areas of the city of Gaza

Israel has urged Palestinians to leave several regions of Gaza City while its military campaign in the enclave has intensified.

The spokesperson for the Defense forces of Israel (FRI) for the Arab media, Colonel Avichay Adraee, said a warning to the Palestinians in the regions that Israel plans to target. The warning included a card showing the area and highlighting a building. Adraee said that Israel was planning to hit the region “due to the presence of Hamas terrorist infrastructure inside or nearby”.

“For your safety, you must immediately evacuate the area to the south to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian area, Khan Yunis,” said Adraee.

Adraee’s warning comes as the IDF is expanding its ground operations to Gaza City as part of what it calls trollers II of Operation Gideon.

Before its widened operations in northern Gaza, Israel has appointed a humanitarian area in Khan Younis, which is in the South. The FDI said that the area will include “essential humanitarian infrastructures such as field hospitals, water pipelines and desalination facilities, as well as the continuous supply of food, tents, medicines and medical equipment in the region”.

The coordinator of government activities in the territories, or COGAT, an Israeli agency, announced Thursday that thousands of tents and shelter equipment were transferred in southern Gaza before the arrival of the evacuated from the North. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, a vocal critic of Israel, also condemned the August announcement.

“This escalation will do nothing to put an end to humanitarian horror in Gaza or the deepening of the suffering of Israeli hostages and Palestinian civilians”, ” Carney said in a press release. He also said that this decision would make peace even more out of reach for the Israelis.

France, which plans to recognize a Palestinian state this month at the United Nations, has also expressed its opposition to operations in the widening of Israel in Gaza. He joined a press release published by the United Nations Slovenian Ambassador Samuel žbogar.

The declaration was published on behalf of Slovenia, Denmark, France, Greece and the United Kingdom. The nations said that Israel’s plans violated international law and urged Jerusalem to “reverse this decision and not to implement it”.
