Israel-Iran Airdestrikes forces President Mike Johnson to cancel Jerusalem’s trip

Chamber Mike Johnson, R-La., Cancels his scheduled trip to Jerusalem next weekend in the light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
“Due to the complex situation currently taking place in Iran and Israel, President Ohana and I have made the decision to postpone the Knesset’s special session,” Johnson said in a statement.
“We are impatient to reprogram the address in the near future and to send our prayers to the inhabitants of Israel and the Middle East.”

Johnson had planned to contact the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, next Sunday.
It is a sign of worsening in the Middle East after Israel, which said that Iran was dangerously close to nuclear weapons, launched pre-empty strikes in Tehran who hit the nuclear enrichment sites and killed senior military officials.
Johnson, like most Republicans, supported the movements of Israel.

“Israel and the United States have been united, including in our shared insistence so that Iran should never obtain a nuclear weapon. President Trump and his administration worked tirelessly to ensure this result,” the president said in a statement.
“Unfortunately, Iran refused to agree and even declared its intention yesterday to build a new enrichment establishment. Israel decided that it should take action to defend itself. They were clearly in their right to do so.”

The Israeli army said on Monday that it had established an “air superiority” on the Iranian forces when the conflict continues in another day.

President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social Sunday that Israel and Iran “should conclude an agreement and will conclude an agreement.”
“(W) will soon have peace between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings are taking place now,” wrote Trump.
