The Chief of the Defense Forces of Israel, Lieutenant-General Eyal Zamir, revealed the next phase of Israel on Hamas on Sunday.

Zamir spoke to the TSAhal soldiers on Sunday during a tour on the field in Gaza, saying that they planned to move forward with the momentum of “Operation Gideon’s Chariots”.

“Today, we approve of the plan for the next phase of the war. As in recent operations in Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Judea and Samaria and Gaza, we will continue to reshape the reality of security,” Zamir told Battalion leaders and other people present on Sunday.

“We will maintain the momentum of the ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ operation while focusing on Gaza City. We will continue to strike to the decisive defeat of Hamas, the hostages always at the forefront of our minds,” he continued.

“Soon, we will go to the next” Gideon’s Chariots “operation phase, in which we will continue to improve strikes against Hamas in Gaza City until its decisive defeat,” he added. “The current campaign is not a specific point; it is only another layer in a long-term and planned strategy, with a multi-font vision to strike all the components of the axis, and first and foremost Iran.”

Zamir then thanked the soldiers for the months and the years of service they have already carried out in Gaza, stressing once again that the return of the hostages is their highest priority.

“You have been fighting for almost two consecutive years, making unprecedented achievements that bring security to communities near the Gaza Strip and all civilians in Israel. I am proud of you,” he told soldiers. “The FDI have a moral duty to bring the hostages back to the house, both alive and fallen.”

Recognizing a Palestinian state will now complicate future peace efforts, the experts warn

Zamir’s field tour is barely a week after the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that plans for Israel are completely controlling the Gaza Strip for an indefinite period after the war.

The plan, approved by the Israeli security firm, gives Green Light to the Minister of Defense Israel Katz to call more than 400,000 military reservists to carry out the operation until November 30.
