Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the president Donald Trump Friday to abandon what he called an “disrespectful” tone towards the supreme head of Tehran or face serious consequences.

In an blunt article on X, Araghchi said that if Trump really wanted an agreement with Iran, he must show respect instead of insulting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Araghchi wrote: “The complexity and tenacity of Iranians are known in our magnificent carpets, woven through countless hours of hard work and patience. Araghchi’s most provocative line came as he made fun of Israel’s dependence on the United States during the recent military confrontation.
