A video clip over surface seems to show the Democratic representative Yvette Clarke, DN.Y., saying that she needs more immigrants in her district “just for redistribution purposes”, which caused significant concern and indignation on the part of online curators.
The video, from a briefing of the Chamber’s Foreign Affairs Committee in 2021, shows that the longtime democrat Clarke suggests that the local Haitian community of Brooklyn could “absorb a large number of these migrants”.
“When I hear my colleagues speak, you know, the doors of the hostel closed, no space in the hostel, I say, you know, I need more people in my district, just for redistribution and that these members could clearly adapt here,” said Clarke.
In response, Kyle Becker, an author and political commentator, commented X “, the representative of the room, Yvette Clarke, has just said the calm part. The Democrats are as anti-Americans as possible.”

“It is madness that American citizens are preparing for the bill so that foreigners come here, use our social services, our education services, our infrastructure, then retire at our expense,” continued Becker. “All because the anti-American Democratic Party wants some additional seats in the Congress. Enough!”
The popular conservative story “End Wokness” also commented on the video, saying: “This is how you divert democracy.”
“DESMS have been saying the calm part for years,” said conservative influencer David Freeman.
“This is why the millions imported. They want to have a country country,” he added.

New York, which is strongly democratic, has aroused significant criticism in the past so that the move authorizes non-citizens to vote in local elections. Earlier this year, the New York Court of Appeal, the highest state court, blocked such a law which had been adopted by the New York Municipal Council in 2021 and would have enabled nearly a million non-citizens to vote in the elections, including for the mayor and the municipal council.
In response to the resurfaced clip, certain calls renewed to the legislature to adopt the eligibility for American voters of safeguard – “save” – the law, which was presented by the representative Chip Roy, R -Texas, earlier this year. The bill would oblige individuals to provide documentary evidence of American citizenship when registering to vote in the federal elections.
In addition, the bill stipulates that the States must withdraw non-citizens from their official lists of eligible voters and impose criminal sanctions for the registration of a applicant to vote during a federal election which does not present documentary evidence of American citizenship.
