A Senegal illegal foreigner has been accused of having attacked American immigration and customs’ application (ICE) and other detainees with a deadly or dangerous weapon.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the charges against Bass Ndiaye in a statement published Thursday.
According to the press release, Ndiaye was arrested on July 17 and taken to a federal immigration building in New York for treatment.
While waiting for treatment, Ndiaye would have caught a pair of scissors and tried to stab ice officers and a dozen other prisoners. He was quickly disarmed and moderated by ice officials.

The press release indicates that Ndiaye is in the country following the Biden administration capture and release policies. He was arrested on the southern border by the federal authorities in October 2023 but was released inside.
He is now faced with a chief of assault on an officer in the United States using a deadly or dangerous weapon. The accusations were announced by American lawyer for the South District of New York Jay Clayton.
This occurs while ICE officers face an increase of more than 800% of assaults compared to the previous year, according to the DHS.

“This illegal criminal foreigner who (was) released in the country under the president Biden will have to face justice for his violent crimes,” said DHS deputy secretary Tricia McLaughlin in a statement. “Our ice forces of the ice face an increase of 830% of the attacks against them.
“The secretary of the DHS (Kristi) Noem stands with the courageous men and women of the police while they risk their lives to withdraw illegal criminal foreigners and protect the Americans.”
The agency blamed Democrats and the consumer media for the increase in assaults against ice officers, saying that their “lies and false stories” continue to stir hatred and violence.

McLaughlin has previously sentenced politicians who have criticized the operations of the ICE hard, claiming that ice officials “risk their lives every day to protect our communities from the worst criminals”.
