Ice demystifies false rumors on immigration when the government closed

American immigration and customs application interrupt rumors about changes in the country’s immigration and borders in the midst of the government’s closure.

The closure has left many Americans wondering what government services would be suspended. Ice worked to cancel speculations that the funding dispute would prevent its agents from paying their functions.

“Rumors that a closure of the United States government will allow illegal immigrants to enter the United States are false,” Ice wrote in an article on x. “US immigration laws and the law implementation efforts remain unchanged. Border and application safety efforts remain strict and crossing the border without authorization remains a crime.”

The message also included a graphic that is read as follows: “When the government closed, the United States will defend its borders.”

Internal security secretary Kristi Noem also wrote on social networks confirming that agents of the law enforcement of her department would continue to work during the closure.

“Our law enforcement agents (Department of Homeland) will continue to work throughout the closure of the Democrats to ensure that our homeland is safe and secure. More than 200,000 of these patriots will be without salary”, ” Noem said Tuesday.

“Democrats will force more than 150,000 officers and nearly 50,000 army members – our first line of defense – to continue to protect our nation without salary,” she added.

While law enforcement officials will be without salary when closing, the 2019 law on the treatment of government employees requires that all essential and contributed employees receive retroactive remuneration once the end.

After the legislators do not reach an agreement by the midnight financing deadline, the government began a closure on Wednesday.

The Senate Republicans tried to pass a short -term extension of the government’s financing levels (FY) 2025, which was flowed by Democrats who were furious to be sidelined in closing negotiations. The bill would have given the congress until November 21 to fix the financing priorities for the year 2026. The Senate should vote again on Wednesday, with more votes to come until an agreement is concluded or that the Democrats are sold.

The Capitol Visitor Center, the botanical garden and the congress library will all be closed to visitors due to the closure, according to the advice sent to the legislators and obtained by Fox News Digital. Congress delegation trips to foreign countries are also canceled during a closure, among other measures.

It is not known how long it will take the legislators to end the closure. Fox News learned that the director of the Russell Vought Budget Budget and Budget will organize a conference call with the Congress Republicans concerning the closure on Wednesday.
