Ice agents face an increase of 1000% of assaults, says internal security

Internal security secretary Kristi Noem announced that US immigration and customs’ application agents (ICE) “are now faced with a 1000% increase in attacks on them because they risk their lives to stop the worst of the worst criminal illegal foreigners.”

Noem declared in an article on X that these “acts of violence are fueled by the rhetoric of sanctuary politicians vilify our police”.

“We will not have and have let this violence stop or slow us down. Each day, our police continue to apply the law and stop the most depraved criminals, including pedophiles, terrorists, murderers, gang members and sex predators,” she added.

We do not know what the period is for the 1000% increase in attacks. The Ministry of Internal Security did not clarify the question when asked questions about it by Fox News Digital.

In July, Fox News Digital reported that ICE officials faced an increase of 830% of attacks between January 21, 2025 and July 14, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.

This period started the next day after President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office.

Noem made this announcement Thursday while the Trump administration removes the age ceiling for the application of the Ice Act, opening roles to many of those who may have aged force.

Noem said on Wednesday that they were trying to make 10,000 hires, and she said that Ice had already received 80,000 requests.

“We put an end to the age ceiling for the ice forces of the ice. Skilled candidates can now apply without age limit,” wrote Noem on X.

Ice seeks to attract more candidates with a signature bonus up to $ 50,000, options to reimburse or forgive student loans and other advantages.
