First on Fox: A group of House Republicans requests an “immediate” investigation into an application that allows people to follow federal immigration actions in real time.

The president of the Small Business Committee of the Chamber, Roger Williams, R-Texas, and the representative Pat Fallon, R-Texas, declared that the Iceblock application “painted targets” on the back of immigration and customs agents (ICE) across the United States, and asked the Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek if the creators of the program violated the federal law.

“We are disturbed to learn that the developers of this application can encourage people to interfere and escape lawful ice operations designed to withdraw criminals from our streets. Although the creators of this application claim to promote` `conscience ”, their actions actively undermine the integrity of our justice system,” said their letter to Bondi.

“The development and use of this application are not simply awareness of the neighborhood; it is a blatant interference with the operations of agencies which has the potential to endanger government agents and even cost them their lives.”

Iceblock is an application focused on the community which allows you to share and discover reports based on location without revealing personal data.”

The letter of the legislators said: “Ice operations are designed to eliminate the dangerous criminals of our streets. This application, labeled as an early alert system ”, deliberately alerts the public of the fate of ice agents, which gives individuals who are here illegally or who have a criminal time to hide or escape apprehension.”

“This application not only hinders the efforts of criminal apprehension, but also makes the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Security Mission to protect public security,” they wrote.
