Hamas has planned sexual violence as a weapon in the October 7 attack, the report finds

The rape, rape of gangs and acts of extreme sexual violence led by Hamas terrorists during their brutal attack on October 7, 2023 against the south of Israel was part of a well -planned systematic weapon, revealed a report, based on open source evidence and new testimonies, revealed.
Written by the Dinah project, a global initiative advancing justice for victims of sexual violence linked to conflicts, the 80-page report entitled “A quest for justice: October 7 and beyond” calls for international human rights groups to recognize that Hamas armed sexual violence within the framework of its atrocities and requires that the black terrorist group of the UN Secretary General.

“Based on this, we hope to develop or propose a legal theory that allows the continuation of all the terrorists who participated in the attack and hold them responsible and responsible for all acts of sexual violence that have been perpetrated,” said Halperin-Kaddari, who officially presented the report to the first lady of Israel on Tuesday.
While the accounts of sexual violence, including rape, rape of gangs and genital mutilation, appeared quickly after a brutal attack in Hamas which sparked 20 months of war in Gaza, some in the international community – including several women’s rights groups – have questioned reports due to a lack of physical or victims.
Most of the victims said Halperin-Kaddari were murdered, taken hostage or too traumatized to talk about their experience.

“It was a huge disappointment that the international community of human rights could not manage the truth or escape the politicization of this question,” she said, adding: “It is a sign of a failure of the international human rights community which could not accept a complex situation where a side in the conflict, which is always perceived as the victim, to advance their cause and use the most horrible violence – progress their cause. ”

The report of the Dinah project is based on these investigations, bringing together, for the first time, first -hand testimonies, including from 15 returned hostages, 17 eyes for the eyes and the first 27 stakeholders.
According to the report, which is also inspired by forensic evidence, as well as visual and audio documentation, “sexual violence was widespread and systematic” during the attack, which saw more than 1,200 people, civilians and murdered soldiers, and some 251 took hostages in Gaza.

In addition, the report revealed that acts of rape, gang rape and other forms of sexual violence had taken place in at least six different places: the Nova Music Festival, Route 232, the military base of Nahal Oz and Kibbutzim Re’im, Nir Oz and Kfar Aza.
“Clear patterns have emerged in the way in which sexual violence has been perpetrated, including the victims found partially or entirely naked with their linked hands, often to structures such as trees or posts; evidence of gang rape followed by execution; genital mutilation and public humiliation,” said the report.
For those who have been taken hostage, sexual violence continued in captivity, with several repatriates signaling “forced nudity, physical and verbal sexual harassment, sexual assault and forced marriage threats”, according to the report.

“We are also trying to establish the historical archives directly: Hamas has used sexual violence as a tactical war weapon”, write the authors, adding: “This report thus opens the way to future criminal procedures and other national and international procedures against terrorists, managers and collaborators of Hamas.”

The Israeli First Lady Michal Herzog, who received the report from the Dinah project on Tuesday, said in a statement that he “exposed the truth”.
“On behalf of all those who are injured, we must continue to fight until their voices are heard everywhere and that justice is returned,” she said, adding: “As a woman, mother and Israeli, I read relationships with a broken heart … He challenges world silence, replaces facts with facts and calls on the world.”
