Greene representative accuses Zelenskyy of trying to sabotage Trump-Putin’s peace talks

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA., Thursday, Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of having tried to sabotage fully awaited peace talks between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin by launching Dronches on Russia.

Greene responded to a position on X of the account, “Open Source Intel”, which reported that Ukraine had launched one of the biggest “drone attacks against Russia.

“On the eve of the historic peace talks between President Trump and President Putin, Zelensky does it,” the Republican legislator wrote. “Zelensky does not want peace and obviously tries to sabotage the heroic efforts of President Trump to put an end to the war in Ukraine. I ask that peace prevails.”

Fox News Digital contacted the Ukrainian embassy, seeking an answer to the Greene position.

Ukraine launched several drone strikes in Russia on Thursday, damaging several buildings in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don and injuring more than a dozen civilians, according to the acting governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar. Two of the injured were hospitalized in serious condition, he said.

The Ukrainian strikes came after Russian strikes in the Ukrainian Sumy region on Wednesday, causing several injuries, including a 7 -year -old girl by civil servants.

Local officials also accused Ukraine of having launched a drone strike in Belgorod who injured three people, and another who struck a car in the village of Pristen which killed at least one individual.

Despite the violence, Trump and Putin should meet in Anchorage, Alaska, Friday for a high challenges top on the future of the Ukraine War.

The meeting will mark Putin’s first visit to the United States since 2015 and the first American summit in Russia since June 2021.

Putin welcomed the United States on Thursday for having made “sincere efforts” to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been raging since the beginning of 2022. Appearing on television, the Russian president said that the United States “made, in my opinion, fairly energetic and sincere agreements to stop hostilities, stop the crisis and reach the agreements that are interesting for all the parties involved in this conflict.”

Zelenskyy accused Russia of not being sincere with its intention of finishing the war.

“This war must be completed. Pressure must be exerted on Russia for just peace. Ukraine and the experience of our partners must be used to prevent deception by Russia,” said Zelenskyy.

“At the moment, there is no sign that the Russians prepare to end the war. Our coordinated efforts and our joint actions-of Ukraine, the United States, Europe and all the countries seeking peace-can certainly force Russia to make peace,” he added.
