Grassley: FBI ‘failed to investigate the case of the Clinton messaging server

“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes concerning the processing of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would carry such a case,” said FBI director James Comey in a press release. “Prosecutors necessarily weigh a certain number of factors before bringing accusations. There are obvious considerations, such as the force of evidence, in particular with regard to intention. Responsible decisions also consider the context of a person’s actions, and how similar situations have been dealt with in the past.”

The documents claim that the director of the FBI at the time, Comey, as well as other FBI managers, obtained thumb records related to their survey on Clinton, but that the agency failed to “carry out additional research on the discs”, according to the Grassley office.
